Lisa Bell is a published author of books, articles and devotionals both online and in print. Lori Freeland, a freelance writer from the Dallas area, holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Henry McLaughlin has a Master’s degree in social work and spent many years working in public child welfare in Rhode Island. It was in this role that he first honed his writing skills in preparing concise and accurate court reports and petitions. He retired from that career in 1999 to work with Kenneth Copeland Ministries. Henry won the prestigious 2009 Operation First Novel Award sponsored by Tyndale House and the Christian Writers Guild. His award-winning first novel, Journey to Riverbend, was released in January, 2011.
To improve his craft, Henry belongs to several Christian writer organizations; attends writers’ conferences, workshops and retreats; and participates in online and local critique groups.

Steve has been part of the faculty every year at the conference since 2006 and is the leader of the 67 Writers Group. Marty Norman, M.Ed. is a licensed therapist, workshop trainer, published author, inspirational speaker, freelance writer, mother of two, and grandmother of five. She is a founding member of the “First Grandmother’s Club” an organization dedicated to serving underprivileged children through volunteerism, donations and projects. John Savell, Ph.D. is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and serves full-time in a faculty position as an Associate Professor of Psychology at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas. With over 34 years experience in the mental health field, he’s worked in a wide variety of settings including in-patient hospitals, outpatient clinics, prisons, residential centers, and rehabilitation hospitals.
