Bend The Ear of an Expert
When you arrive at the conference, you will have an opportunity to sign-up for a private appointment with an NTCW faculty member. At no extra cost, you will have fifteen minutes with a seasoned writer who has the expertise you need to advance your writing success.
You may want to brainstorm your book or article idea to see if there’s a market for it. Get ideas on how to tweak your approach for the best chance of success. Ask for suggestions about publishing houses and the best fit for your manuscript. Many of our NTCW faculty have decades of experience working with editors and publishers, and they know the ropes—and which ones you need to climb.
Bring your article, devotional or short story to your appointment for some quick feedback. Faculty members will have a good eye for what it takes to make it shine. This is your chance to ask questions of a professional in private, where being shy doesn’t matter. You can learn a lot, gaining practical ways to reach your writing goals.
Check out the faculty bios, scan their web sites and decide who you think might be the best help. Sign-up sheets will be posted on the wall each morning for that day, so come early to assure getting the person and schedule you prefer. Appointments are limited to one per registrant, subject to availability each day at the conference.
***Back By Popular Demand***
During the conference we’ll offer a limited number of sixty minute spots for private editing consultations with a professional editor. You’ll be asked to submit up to five double-spaced, one-sided pages of either fiction or nonfiction prior to the conference. The editor will bring your edits to your scheduled consultation at the conference.
We’ll also have special thirty minute website and social media coaching consultation appointments and thirty minute appointments with a psychologist to explore your characters’ psyche.
These special consultation appointments will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The consultation times will be an additional cost and are not included in the conference registration fee. When you REGISTER for the conference, available times for consultations will be shown and available for purchase at that time.
